Who We are

AI Camp is an Australian-based education and research organisation transforming how children engage with artificial intelligence. We design and deliver innovative afterschool and holiday programs for schooling students, blending hands-on, age-appropriate learning with a strong emphasis on ethics, creativity, and critical thinking.

Founded by Dr Jinan Zou, a researcher at the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML), AI Camp was created with a dual mission:

• To inspire primary-aged students with engaging, high-quality AI education that builds confidence, curiosity, and coding capability.
   
• To lead pioneering research into how AI can be taught responsibly in schools, including the development of a child-centred AI learning framework aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
   

At AI Camp, we believe AI is not just a technical subject—it’s a foundational literacy for the 21st century. Our programs don’t just teach children how AI works; they empower them to think critically, solve real-world problems, and reflect ethically on the role of technology in their lives.

Our AI course for primary students offers a progressive and engaging journey through four themed terms. Starting with playful comparisons between AI functions and human senses and actions, students explore how AI connects to their daily lives, helps solve real–world problems, and shapes our future.
Each term builds on the last, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and responsible attitudes toward technology.
